Life Picks Ep 67: Bartop dancing for women in Clarke Quay; Little Women worth the watch in cinemas
10:52 mins
Synopsis: Every Thursday, The Straits Times highlights the best films, concerts, restaurants and arts events you can catch in Singapore over the coming weeks.
This week, Money FM's Jason Dasey chats with ST's film correspondent John Lui. He shares how there have been several movie adaptations of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel, but the latest - Little Women (which opens here Jan 16) - brings a jolt of energy to a story set in 19th-Century Massachusetts, making it spring to life a way that sets the standard for period drama.
ST's entertainment and nightlife journalist Anjali Raguraman also appears to talk about American bar-restaurant concept Coyote Ugly which has opened its 28th outlet in Clarke Quay.
Best known from the movie starring Piper Perabo and Adam Garcia that came out in 2000, the bar boasts bar top dancing for women and affordable drinks.
